Photos and videos carry hidden data you can't see - camera model, GPS location, and increasingly, tags naming exactly which AI tool generated them. Both tools below run entirely on this device - nothing is ever uploaded anywhere, including to Boardly.
Photo metadata remover
Works on JPG, PNG, and WebP. Your browser redraws the picture from scratch onto a blank canvas and saves that as a brand new file - so none of the original file's hidden data comes along, including EXIF, GPS, camera info, or AI-generation tags. One tradeoff: an animated GIF would get flattened down to just its first frame, so this one isn't for those.
Video metadata remover
Works on MP4, MOV, and WebM. The video itself isn't re-encoded, so quality and file size barely change - only the hidden metadata (device, location, generation tags) gets stripped out. The first time you use this on a visit, your browser quietly downloads a small video engine (about 30MB) to do the work locally - that only happens once.
